A mother’s gentle insight
As we rush through life, it is easy to lose perspective. We lose more than simply our objectivity. When we forget pearls of wisdom, like the one below, we miss out on the joys of life.
On this day when we remember the Gift found in a lowly, smelly manger, take the time to ponder the quotation below. Your life will be much easier, happier, and richer because of it.
One day a little girl was told her family couldn’t afford something. She wondered out loud if they were poor. Her mother responded:
“…that we were not, that poor people couldn’t afford things they needed, that rich people could afford anything they wanted, and that we were in the middle, able to afford all that we needed and many, many things that we just wanted.” —Mrs Micah’s Mom
